LAUKI KOFTA CURRY-by Swathi
Lauki is nothing but sorakayi!Here Goes the recipe...
Ingredients:
For Kofta:
Grated Gourd (lauki )
Green chilies - 5 -6,finely chopped
Besan –1 ½ cups
Corn flour – 1 tsp
Baking Power – one pinch
Oil
Salt
For Gravy:
Oil
Ginger paste – 1 ½ tsp
Cumin Powder – 2 tsp
Black cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Green chilies – 4
Tomatoes – 1 , chopped
Potatoes – 5, small pieces
Garam Masala powder – 1 ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Procedure:
Add besan, corn flour, baking powder and green chilies and salt with grated gourd and make balls. No need to add water.
2.Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the balls till golden brown and keep aside. 3.Heat the oil and put black cumin seeds into it.
4.Add potatoes and green chilies and tomatoes into it.
5.Fry it in low flame for a while.
6.Add ginger paste, cumin powder and stir for a while.
7.Add salt to taste.
8.Add water, turmeric powder and keep for about 10 minutes.
9.Then add koftas and keep for 5 minutes.
10.Add garam masala powder and remove from heat. 11.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
