Kobbari Sambar

nenu kobbari palatho kobbari sambahar ani chesthanu.

1 can coconut milk
pesara pappu 2 cups
carrots 1 cup
potatoes - 1 cup
ginger
salt - to taste
karam - to taste
lemon juice - 1 tsp

Boil pesara pappu in little water for 5 mins. Add more water and add all the vegetables and ginger. cook on medium. after the veggies get tender, add salt and karam. Add coconut milk and stir well. popu vere ginnelo vesi induloki add cheyandi...

Banana Peda Burfi

Ingredients:

Ripe Bananas – Yellow ones with black spots variety, but into small squares – 4
Ghee (clarified butter) – 2 tablespoons
Sugar – 1/4 tablespoon
Cashewnuts- 3 to 4

Method:

Heat ghee in a pan.
Put Bananas (cut into small squares) into the ghee and add the sugar to it.
In a medium flame, keep stirring continuously till it forms a halva-like consistency (more about sugar-consistency here)
After a few minutes this will thicken. Form round balls or shape like a small vada.
Decorate the Peda with Cashewnuts on top.
Serve as an evening snack with tea.

Banana Halwa

Ingredients:

• 6 Ripe Bananas(peeled)
• 4-5 tbsp Sugar
• 2-3 tsp Ghee
• 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder

Procedure:

• Mash the bananas.
• Heat ghee in a heavy pan.
• Add bananas and cook over low heat, stirring to prevent the mixture from sticking.
• Cook for 10 minutes over medium flame or until bananas have browned.
• Add more ghee as necessary.
• Add sugar after 4-5 minutes and continue stirring until dissolved.
• Add cardamom powder and remove from heat.
• Keep stirring till the mixture becomes viscous.
• Allow to cool.
• Serve hot.

Kala Chana Vada

soak kala chana overnight in water
drain and grind along with green chilies, cumin, salt coarsely
add chooped onions (optional)
chetto koncham teesukoni flat ga chesi deep fry. If needed add some rice flour.

Sabudana Vada

Sabudana vada - actual ga sabudana pakodi type anuko
Sabudana - 1 cup, chana dal - 1/2 cup, yogurt - 1 cup or more, rice flour - 1 cup, onions (optional), salt, chili powder, green chilis, baking soda

Soak sabudana and chana dal overnight in yogurt
mix rest of the ingredients and take spoon fulls and deep fry in oil until golden brown

Tomato Corainder Chutney

I like this chutney with idly/dosa


Ingre:

tomatos:2-3,coriander:1 bunch

proce:

first keep till oil in pan add 1 tbsp cumin seeds,5-6 garlic flakes,2 tbps urad dal,15 green chillies after tomatos cook for 5 min then add corriander cook for 5-10 min last add tamarind,salt if needed add jaggery

you can do same without corriander.

1tin condensed milk
1 box whipped cream
1 tin pine apple crushed

Mix condensed milk and whipped cream and add crushed pine apple mix every thing and freez it for 2-3 hrs ,add pista for garnishing. :)

Coconut stuffed peppers

nenu parrot green peppers untayi kada vatido ia chesta
-remove seeds from peppers by making slit if they are hot .other wise leave some of seeds.
- pan heat chesi koncham oil veyali.
- grated coconut ki salt add chesi ee stuffing peppers lo pettali.
- peppers ni pan lo petti lid petti cook avanivali on medium flame.
- in between slow ga turn cheyali so that peppers are done all sides. light brow vastayi..
-serve with hot rice+ghee.
