Broccoli - 1
moong dal - 1 cup

Method :
soak moong dal for 10-15mins
cut the broccoli and steam it with some salt till the florets are tender
now.. in a kadai, take some oil, do the seasoning, add curry leaves and some turmeric.. now add the steamed broccoli florets without water ... give it a stir and some salt....cook uncovered until it leaves the smell of it ( 2-3mins), after tht cover it with a lid... by this time it should be half done..and also the moong must have soaked nicely..
once the florets are soft and not mashy, drain the moong dal and add to the curry.. cook on low flame for 2-3 mins.... add chilli powder/koora podi... turn off
it will be nice both with roti n rice
u can substitute chana dal instead of moong dal too.... same procedure... except tht in tht process, u don add chana dal in seasoning...

BROCOLLI RECIPE
BROCOLLI RECIPE-by- Usha Rao
broccoli is one of the healthiest vegetables.... and cooks very fast...thondaraga udukuthundhi.... and i like my broccoli crunchy.
1. I usually stream it for 2 minutes and eat. You can add some salt or lime juice if you like.
2. Another easy way is, take some oil in a pan and add some crushed garlic in it. When garlic turns light brown, add salt to taste (very little) and broccoli florets, and fry for few seconds (30-45 sec). Cover the pan and remove from the heat. Let it sit for 3-4 minutes. Remove the lid and your garlic brocoli is ready to eat. Both these items side dishes laga baguntai, these are not exactly curries kaa danukondi....
