Ragi oats gunta pongadalu

1/4 cup black uradh dal
1/2 cup oats 
1/2 cup ragi powder

Soak dals and grind with some chillies ginger cumin, oats and ragi powder and add masala

recipe for bobattlu: 1 cup senagapappu, 1 -1.25 cups bellam depending how sweet u like, elaichi pwdr, maida 2 cups, ghee...correct ga 15-16 avtayi..naaku 16 avtayi usually.. process: soak pappu for 4 hrs, udakapettukovali in cooker, then drain water and inka water anipisthe tissue tho absorb cheyali, then put dal in same cooker and add bellam, keep mixing till it becomes thick add elaichi pwdr..challaraka undalu chesi pakkana petti, make dough with maida..kalipaka ghee add chestu malli ala ala oka 4-5 times ghee add chesthe soft ga vastayi , nenu chapati karra tho chestha kabatti koncham gattiga avtayi unless u eat them immediately or heat for 10 secs in oven.. for video on how to make paina video post chesa chudandi.. penam meeda chapathi laga kalchi add ghee on both sides..
u can add sugar plus jaggery if u want, also u can use maida plus wheat flour

Gongura Senagapappu Koora

Sanagapappu udikinchukuni almost undikina taruvaatha add gongura... gongura maggakaa add salt, chilli powder... you can add bottle gourd pieces in senagapappu for boiling... taalimpu loo garlic pieces vesthaaru... monnee mom chesindhi naa koosam... yuummmm

here is one more recipe with slite variation to what poornima shared. Oka pan lo oil vesi popu petti , garlic pods (as u wish) , onion , green chilli peices fry cheyali. Then add gongura, sorakaya peices , one tomato vesi lid petti cook cheyali . Salt and chilli powder veyali. Onion ekkuva vunte baguntundi.

Chana Dal Coconut Chutney for Idli

Nenu regularga idli tho chestunta.. It's our fav too.. Learnt frm my mom..I haven't posted in my blog, still in my draft.here is my way..
Chana dal 3/4 cup
Coconut grated( optional) 1 tbspn
Green chillies 4 to 5
Jeera 1/4 tspn
Garlic 2 to 3 pods
For tempering : Heat 1 tbspn of oil add mustard seeds,red chillies, curry leaves , little urad dal( optional)
Procedure: first fry jeera,green chillies in 1 or 2tspns of oil , add garlic,chaana dal( sanaga Pappu) until just get nice aroma.. ( 5 to 8 mins) ..fry in medium heat frying is important step in this chutney, should be well fried )lastly add grated coconut ( I sometimes do without coconut ) believe me it tastes awesome ... Switch of the stove . When it cools down, grind all ingredients and let it cool.. Add more water in the final round of grinding .,Then tadka or tempering anthe.. Finally sprinkle 1 tspn of lemon juice when completely cools down

Radish Curry

Then in a pressure cooker add oil and add tempering. Then add slit chillies and sauté for some time. Then add chopped radish and soaked chana dal. Add required amount salt mix and then add quarter glass of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. That is it u can eat it with roti or rice

my mil does it this way and chala chala baguntundi taste....same Harini Krishna process ee but kandipappu 1 cup aite pesarapappu, senagapappu and minapappu kuda almost 1/4th cup to 1/2cup each fry chestaru. Anni without oil ee cheyali. Inka end lo curry leaves kuda dry fry chestaru just dry ayyela ante, colour change avvakudadu. It gives very nice aroma.

Inka charu podi aite amma is famous for charu in our families
Dhaniyalu 1cup
kandipappu 3/4 cup
Miriyalu 1/2cup(u can reduce it if u don't prefer it's spice)
Jeera 1/4 cup
Red chillies - fistful
Anni manchiga endabetti powder cheyadame, need not fry. Inka charu pettinappudu we use asefotida(hing) also in tempering (only menthulu, jeera and mustard, red chilly)

Sabudana Vada

Sabudana vada - actual ga sabudana pakodi type anuko
Sabudana - 1 cup, chana dal - 1/2 cup, yogurt - 1 cup or more, rice flour - 1 cup, onions (optional), salt, chili powder, green chilis, baking soda

Soak sabudana and chana dal overnight in yogurt
mix rest of the ingredients and take spoon fulls and deep fry in oil until golden brown

Cabbage Chana Dal

This is how mom prepares the curry

Soak required amount of channa dal an hour prior to the preparation.

Chop cabbage and tomatoes and keep them separately

in a pan or pressure cooker (your preference) add do seasoning and add cabbage, channa dal, ginger garlic paste and let this cook till cabbage is done or if its pressure cooker leave it until one whistle.

then add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, salt, a little bit of salt. mix it well and let the chilli and salt taste get incorporate with the rest.

you can also add dessicated coconut at the end.

chenna dal quantity meeku nacchinantha vesukondi...

Kala Chana Vada

Same mamulu vadas lage cheyyalanta...my mom's cousin makes these...
soak chana overnite or atleast 6-8 hrs and grind with very little water(coarsley), add chopped onion, green chillies, curryleaves, cilantro,salt, jeera pwd and some gramflour(if u need for binding). then flatten and fry till golden brown.

Senagalu naanabetti avi soft ga ayyaka...grind cheyyali with allam, green mirchi, curry leaves, salt. water ekkuva poyakunda minimum water tho cheyyali...full grind cheyyakunda palukulu ga unde attu cheyyali...normal vada size lo kaakunda koncham chinnaga vesukovali....

Preparation:

2cups chana dal
1/2 cup urad dal
5 green chillies
Onions pieces
2 tea spoons ginger
2 spoons jeera
curry leaves
coriander leaves
salt (according to taste)

process:

1.chana dal , urad dal kalipi wash chesi 2 hrs soak cheyali.

2.next water drain chesi fist full of dal separate ga pakkana pettesi, migilina dal ki chillies ,ginger and salt add chesi water veyakundaa konchem barakaga grind cheyali.

3. ippudu aa mix lo grind cheyakunda teesi pettina dal, onions, curry leaves, coriander leaves vesi kalipi palchaga kakunda konchem mandam ga medium size lo vadalu vesukovali.

kala chana tho ilage cheyalante konchem ekkuva time soak cheyalsi ravachu anukuntaa....

vedi vedi ga thinali. chala tasty ga vuntay. :)

drain water completely from chanadal and grind chana dal coarsely without adding water along with ginger and green chillies,now add salt,fennelseeds,finely cut corianderleaves and mint leaves((((((((((((if u wish u can add cinnamon powder))))))).make vadai thats it

ma husband and kids ki ala madhyalo vasthe tinaru so nenu maximum mottam coarse ga grind chesthanu meeru cheppinatttu ga amma chesthundiiii last lo konni soaked chana add cheyadam if u want u can add them.. nenu almost every week chesthanuuuu ivi
yeah onions marchipoyanu.. i mostly use red onions for thisss

Channa dhal , val dhal and two spoons each of yellow moong dhal and urad dhal anni kalipi soak chesi coarse ga grind chesta. My mom adds coconut too when grinding. After grinding I add chopped onions, curry leaves, soaked chana dhal, green chillies, kothimeer. My friend also adds chopped spinach.
