Contributor: Srividya

mudda kura nenu ilaaga chesthanu.

plaintain - 2 peeled and diced.

boil these diced plaintain pieces with enough water until they are soft with little salt and turmeric powder. drain the water and slightly mash the pieces. ( these pieces should soft enough to get mashed!)

take a pan add little oil, add chana dal, urad dal, jeera, mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves fry till golden brown and add 1 tbsp of ginger + green chilli + cilantro paste fry till it turns slight brownish. add the mashed plaintain and stir nicely. adjust salt and spice levels and cook on medium temp/flame for another 4-5 mins, once done squeeze some fresh lemon juice (one full lemon - small size / half of the bigger one) and enjoy with white rice mixed with ghee.

you can make alu curry in the same way... its called alu upma kura in some areas.
